problems with receiving attachments by email

hello folks,
i am downloading emails with attachment from my server via windows mail to
my local pc.
in this case excel format. on the server itself you can see the attachments,
so it is assured that they exist.
attachments will be cut anywhere and email arrives without them, but not
every ones. pdf fromat coming from external company goes thru.
attachments coming from my company will not be forwarded from the server..
does anybody have an idea of who to manage this problem?

Ask your correspondents who are using MS Outlook to only send messages to
you in Plain Text format, especially if there's an attachment.
