Hi,

I have a compactflash card which I have been using with the Vista x32
ReadyBoost capability. Yesterday it suddenly stopped working and did
not show the ReadyBoost tab in the Properties manu. When I took the
card to another PC and reformatted it now shows the ReadyBoost tab but
says the device reader is not supported. Apart from reformatting the
card ast stated I have done absolutely zip to change the settings of
this PC so am at a loss to know what has happened.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Mike

it probably was formatted originally in fat32 and now you formated it in
ntfs

Hi,

It is formatted in FAT32 now, I don't remember what it was originally
formatted as.

But ReadyBoost works on NTFS formatted flash drives, IIRC.

How much RAM do you have? If you have at least a gig of RAM then I would
just forget about using Readyboost. In most of the test it only improved
speed on system with less than a gig. If you want to speed up your
system get more RAM. It cheap right now.
