problems with pages downloading

I have windows xp and ie explore 6. I play a lot of games
at yahoo and there it where i noticed a problem. I used
to have no problem, no when i click on a game to play, an
the page comes up, a small x comes in the corner where
the picture should be and the pictures wond download, jus
t the words. Same thing is happening in my emails, when
someone sends a picture, the picture wont download but
the email message will. this is also occuring as i browse
to other pages. can someone help

Clean your Temporary Internet Files (Folder).
If still no joy then have a look at this page for other issues.

Or, it may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS, reboot.
