problems with outlook express6.0

I use windows xp pro and outlook express 6.0. Whenever I
try to open the program it takes about 15 seconds to
load. Once loaded it 'disconnects' my internet connection.

Any suggestions

Simplest solutions might be for;

Long startup time: Try cleaning out your folders. Check folders
beforehand, open really wanted/needed items and "Save as..." in a folder not
in OE.

Disconnection: If this occurs after you download, say, your e-mail, go to
Tools>Options...> Connection tab. Uncheck "Hang up after sending and
receiving."
