Problems with multiple browser windows

Whenever I try to open more than one window of Internet
Explorer, the first window closes so I can only ever have
one window open. It worked fine until the other day when
I downloaded a few spyware blocking programs. I restored
all the changes made with those programs and also
uninstalled them but it has done nothing to fix the
problem. I also downloaded a security update for DirectX9
from Windows Update at the same time but I don't know if
that would be the cause of the problem. I have MSN
Explorer and it still works fine so whatever the issue
is, it only affects Internet Explorer. If someone could
please help me with this problem, I would greatly
appreciate it.

Try these steps:
Open IE, tools, internet options.
Select Advanced tab and click the [restore defaults] button.
Later, select the Programs and click the [reset web settinngs] button.
Click OK.
