Problems with Explorer

I have been having troubles with my file associations ever since i
installed like an atpi patch (not a virus or malware) and now whenever
I open a file folder, it opens it up in a new folder instead of just
moving to it in the same window. why is it doing this?

Hi David,

Have you checked in Folder Options, General tab?
"Open each folder in the same window"
