problems with downloading automatic updates

Just wondering why I can't download microsofts automatic
updates for windows xp professional, and when I go to the
help screen the text is so small I can't read it. Tried
changing screen resolution, no joy.

Many updates can cause system problems why on earth

would you want to use auto update????? Don't you think
that it would be better for someone Else's computer to
screw up instead of yours? wait alittle while before
installing updates to see if their are any problems with
them
