problems with digital camera

I am trying to get my pictures from my digital camera online. usually when I plug my camera in the little wizard thing just pops up, but for some reason it isn't now. I think the pc is recognizing it because the little icon that lets me 'safely remove hardware' comes up. How do I get the wizard to start?
