Problems w Adobe Reader 9.0

I just downloaded Reader 9.0 and it installed automatically. Now whenever I
start/restart the computer, it goes to the folder labelled c://program
files/adobe/acrobat.com and displays the contents of said folder. I looked
in the startup folder and there is nothing indicating that this should
happen. What gives? Should I uninstall/reinstall? Thanks

Adobe Reader 9 "Sneaks" two other apps into the install. Go to the
Control Panel, Add/Remove applet and uninstall
Adobe Air & Adobe.com

Have a look at an alternative reader http://www.pdfxviewer.com/

Freeware, fast and less memory use.

Manually remove Adobe Reader (8.x on Windows)
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb400769&sliceId=2

Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Scroll down and download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility Package.

In XP go to Start, then Search and look for MSICuu2.exe. When the icon
shows up, run the program. After its done, you will get a list of files.
Click on Adobe and it will remove it.

Alternatively you can try:
Brute Force Uninstaller
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Brute_Force_Uninstaller_BFU_d4714.html
and/or
Revo Uninstaller
http://www.revouninstaller.com/

Better alternatives to Adobe Reader are:
Foxit reader.
The free version can be obtained from URL:-

or
PDF XChange Viewer for free!
