Windows XP Pro, gigabyte 7vtxe motherboard, ntfs file section and no
floppy drive.

I am finding it impossible to install a bios upgrade on my
motherboard, the utility gigabyte provide crashes everytime I run it,
and although I have created a boot cd it will not run because my file
system is NTFS. Can anyone help with how I can upgrade my bios

Hi Col

NTFS doesn't have any affect on booting from a CD. When does the BIOS
utility crash? Did you try downloading it again?

With the boot CD do you get an error or does it not even boot, you should
check you are pressing a key as your system will ask you to press a key if
you want to boot from CD - it's only brief.

If you bought your computer off the shelf, you need to check with the
company that manufactured it, or the company that manufactured the BIOS. The
BIOS is part of the computer, not the Win XP operating system.
