Hi
I am running a Win XP sp2, had installed NAV 2005 on a P4 machine.
Inadvertently the NAV was deactivated and the comp refused to start there
after. After trying to get the same started in safe mode, tried to rectify
the problem, didn't work.

Would let me uninstall thru add/ remove programs also.

Tried to remove all references in the regedit manually, however prevents
deletion in
hkey-local machine\system\controlset001\enum\root\legacy_navapsvc\0000 etc

The result
1) cannot reinstall NAV
2) Whenever I start MS office it keeps going to the NAV for virus scans and
asks to reinstall.

Any ideas (other than format and reinstall)

Regards

Sam

It's time to enjoy the built in properties of System restore.

Use System Restore and choose a point prior to when you installed NAV.

Restore and all the Norton / Symantec / AV entries will magically disappear!

unfortunately the norton was installed right from the start beofre other
applications were installed, if i use system restore it will remove all the
actually useful appication (as agst Norton). Any other ideas

Uninstalling NAV

Go to Symantic and download their uninstall tool. They also have a comprahensive manual uninstall guide.
