Recently, I've had a problem signing on to AOL on Win
xp. I have a cable modem and it does not sign on to
AOL. I get the internet, e-mail, everything else. AOL
won't come up.
I ran Norton WinDoctor (2002)and it says there are 2
unfixable problems with my computer. mscorre.dll is
missing and mapisrvr.exe isn't where it should be.
Are those used for aol connections?

Should I just reinstall WINXP and see if that fixes
it. (Can I do that?) I have Re-installed AOL several
times. Nothing will fix it at this point.

Any clue?
Thanks,
Skip

Skip , That seem like a AOL problem since the modem dials up and you connect
to the internet. You must be connecting to some home page , maybe it's just
a matter of changing your homepage to AOL,(curse the thought ) . Jym

Jym:
That's the weird thing about it... EVERYTHING else
works fine. I connected to AOL live help, the only time
I could get on, they didn't have any idea of what it
was...
I'll keep trying.
So mapisrve.exe missing from my windows\system32
directory doesn't mean anything... (Maybe an old file
that it's looking for on ME or 98?)
