I HAVE JUST GOT A NEW HP TOUCHSMART WITH WINDOWS VISTA AND AM HAVING PROBLEMS
SETTING UP MY EMAIL ACCOUNTS. CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE?
I KEEP GETTING THESE MESSAGES
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.wanadoo.co.uk',
Server: 'pop.wanadoo.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
IT'S PROBABLY SOMEHTING QUITE BASIC IN MY SETTINGS BUT I CAN'T FIGURE IT
OUT. ANY SUGGESTIONS GRATEFULLY RECEIVED.

Sky requires the SSL option to be enabled:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that Sky account, Properties, Advanced,
then check the SSL option.

For the second error, I don't think pop.wanadoo.co.uk supports port 995.
Change the port to 110.

You're very welcome, Lynda. Thanks for reporting back.
