Problems sending e-mail attachments

I am running Win XP Home with Outlook 2002.
I am also running McAfee Virus Scan, Personal Firewall
and Spamkiller.
I scanned 2 documents with Microtek Scanwizard 5.90 and
inserted them as file attachments into an Outlook message
to one of my customers.
I click to send and the thing gets to 66% then 100%
and bounces back and I get an error message.
What am I doing wrong?
