problems running DK kids software on XP Pro system..help please

HI,

I have some Dorlink Kinderlsy software which does run on Win98.

I keep getting an error message about the sound

"[1058]: The sound software is not installed properly or has been disabled.
For more information see the README file installed with this program.
This title will now terminate."

Can anyone give me some advice on altering what ever setting needs sorting out.

It might be best to contact the software manufacturer to see if they
have an upgrade that works on XP. Also try running it in compatibility
mode.
