Problems Publishing

I'm trying to publish a few pages to an already existing website (that I did
not create) and everytime frontpage tries to "resolve" the site, nothing
happens. I have no access to the person who created the site. The job of
webmaster was passed on to me yet I have little experience with this. Is
there something I'm not thinking of, a problem with my interenet connection,
etc?

I would start by opening the site in Internet Explorer, choose Edit with
Microsoft Office FrontPage, enter your username and password when asked and
then Publish to a different folder on your hard drive. Then create your new
pages within this 'new' site on your hard drive. Then Publish to the server.

I just tried what you suggested. Frontpage opens to a blank screen and it
appears to be thinking but it's been like that for over 5 min.

Contact the Host and have them run a check on the FP Server Extensions on the site server
