Problems booting

B

I recently installed a different hard drive on a older mb.
The system will not boot to the hard drive. I have taken
the hard drive and found that it will boot on another
system (XP). The problem system apparently will go through
POST but it is unable to access the hard drive. I can get
the hard drive to be recognized by the BIOS, but it still
won't boot. I have changed cables and reseated all cards. I
know it is something simple, 'cause I can figure it out !
:) Any suggestions?

Does the new bios support the size of drive you are installing....? What
size is the drive.
If it already has xp on it, then it won't work with the new MB (even if you
get it working)unless it is exactly the same as old one. Have to do a repair
install.
