It had been a while since I did any WIndows Updating.
Yesterday afternoon I went to the WindowsUpdate site and
downloaded everything that it said needed to be updated.
Now, my computer is slow and it 'hesitates' when browsing
or doing anything. Like now, typing this, it will just
stop typing and 'hesitate' for a few seconds and then
catch up, then stop again, etc. Another example is, when
im browsing e-Bay, I will be scrolling along and it will
just stop for a few seconds, then jump to where I am, then
stop, etc. I would think installing the updates just
makes everything work better... not worse. Can someone
tell me what I can do? THanks so much.

Cami, Rule #1 with those Updates (learned the hard way):
Know what you are downloading! Outside of Critical
downloads, the rest can usually be briefly read about and
ignored, because they can come with nasty "side effects."
After all, if you are happy with XP, why gild the lily?
Even the Critical updates can cause problems, but I would
not skip those. Automatic Updates are, in my opinion NOT a
wise idea.

Solution: System Restore. It is fast, safe, reversible,
repeatable and will undo this mess. It takes you back to a
time when things were normal, and leaves data files and
setings, favouriites, etc. alone. It will undo any recent
software installations besides the update. You can
reinstall those.

Start>>Help and Support>>type "system restore
wizard">>click "run system restore wizard"

Determine the most recent date preceding the update and
run the wizard. Fast and painless.
