I apologize in advance if I am posting in the wrong community. Anyway I just
purchased as laptop with Windows Vista. I have a version of Office 2001 (I
beleive) and I just wanted to know if it will work on Vista. I haven't heard
great things about Office 07, so I think I would rather keep my 01 version,
but not sure if it will work. Can anyone tell me if it will and how to
install it correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK there is no Office 2001, there is 97, 2000, XP, 2003, and 2007, I
believe 2000 and above are (for the most part) Vista compatible.

Microsoft Office 2000, Microsoft Office XP, and Microsoft Office 2003
are all supported on Windows Vista.

It must be 2000 then. Do I need to do anything special to get it to work? or
Just install it on my new computer?

I think Outlook 2000 is not able to save email account passwords, in Vista,
which would be very annoying if you use Outlook.

Remember to install the latest Office service pack, for the version you
have, before you start using it in Vista.
