Problem with XP Professional

Hi. Have been using this configuration for years.

Suddenly, when Windows XP starts and I get the logg on screen, my USB
keyboard and USB mouse fail. I am unable to logg in therefore! Have checked
he keyboard and mouse in DOS and all works fine. Any ideas peoples? Many

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the USB Hub device(s),
Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers
again automatically.

Replacing the USB drivers will probably solve the problem.

I cannot get past the XP log in screen so cannot get to Start/Run.

Try Safe Mode (F8 on restart) to see if you can repair it there. If not, I
suggest finding a PS/2 keyboard.
