problem with xp built in firewall

Pete

I want to enable the firewall built into XP. When I try
to, I get the message, "Windows cannot display the
properties of this connection. The Windows management
instrumentation (WMI) information might be corrupted. To
correct this, use the System Restore..........".
However, the problem is older than my oldest restore
point, so I can't go back far enough. Anybody any ideas
on how to correct this other than using System Restore?

What they mean with 'system restore' is the 'repair' function on your WXP
CD. So boot from it and chose 'repair' instead of 'install'.

Greetz, barramundi.
