Problem with Windows Online games - zclientm.exe

Hi!
I recently installed McAfee ViruScan Entreprise Edition and a wi-fi routing
system which works just fine. The only thing: I cannot play Windows online
games anymore! The game (ex : backgammon) opens, I get the usual starting
windows, up to the game board. Even the dices roll after the starting throw,
and that's when I get the error message that zclientm.exe could not start
etc. etc.

Anyone got a clue?

Thanks!

If McAfee is likely at fault, I would suggest adding that file (zclientm.exe)
to the list of applications that are permitted to access and/or act as server.

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the tip; unfortunately, I ain't have a clue on how to do this...
I went into the VirusScan console, and made an entry to make zclientm.exe an
exclusion to the
"undesirable programs", but it does not seem to change anything to the
problem. Could you be a little bit more specific on how to implement your
suggestion? I'd really appreciate that.

Thanks again,

Luc

Hi Luke,

Unfortunately, I don't run McAfee on my machine, however if you
take a look in the software under Help it should provide detailed
instructions that can help you run the software without loosing your
ability to operate Windows as you normally would.
