Steve Goodrich

I keep on getting the error message below when I am navigating around in
windows explorer
"Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience"
I have no other app running other than explorer. I have just done a clean
install but the problem persists.
running windows xp sp2 home edition on a dell dimension 9100, 2 gig ram,
3.4mhz
any help would be appreciated
thanks

Are you trying to access network drives or local drive? I just posted a
similar question about network drives.

I am getting the same error but the issue does not occur consistently.
Sometimes I can drill into multiple folders and sometimes only 1 or 2 folders
before the error occurs. However, I recently started up in Safe Mode and
didn't experience the issue at all.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi

I have started having this same problem today although sometimes I get the
eroor "Dr Watson Post Mortem Debugger has encountered a problem etc etc"
before I get the windows explorer error.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet?
