problem with window closing out when inserting graphics

I'm having a strange problem and hope someone can help. Everytime I try to insert a graphic from my files into my frontpage (2002) editor, it closes everything out. I am getting so frustrated and I can't edit my pages. Can anyone help? Thanks.
 
Import the image into your current open FP web first, before inserting it on your page.
