Problem with slower startup of XP windows SP3

I need to make correction as follows:

the correct information is:

Task Manager - Performance - Commit Charge:
Total 443764
Limit 1278148
Peak 604416

That Peak figure is problematic. It indicates that during those times,
your physical memory is too low. And if it's too low some of the time,
it's too low, period! You either need to buy more RAM (elsewhere you
stated you only had 512 MB) or configure your PC to run more lean so
that the Peak is more in line with the Total figure.

You said in another post that your startups are the worst. One likely
explanation is that Panda is running intensely at that time *plus* as
it's doing its thing and since you don't have enough RAM, you start to
overly rely on the pagefile (that's what the Peak figure tells us). Once
things settle down, your RAM is enough and performance improves (that's
what the Total figure suggests).

If you want to run more lean, that would probably entail disabling the
iPod service. It's possible you might even need to switch from Panda to
another security program that uses fewer resources (if Panda indeed uses
too much -- I'm not sure if does or not).

Or you can just learn to live with the slow startups. :-)

Dean

Most of the reports relate to Panda. You should either uninstall and
reinstall or replace it with other software. There are a number of freeware
alternatives.

There are clearly problems running Panda and with it as it is it is
questionable whether it is properly protecting your computer

Hi Gerry,

I did the following tasks:

- unistall and reinstall Panda AV, and also
- add 1GB RAM memory (in total now I have 1,5 GB)

It seems that problem is eliminated. I hope that I can say that now.

What regardas the Task Manager - Performance - Commit Charge, see new state:

total: 501392
limit 2208828
peak 622004

I hope that it is normal.

Regards, Dean

That's better.

Have a look in the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for
Errors and Warnings and post copies. Don't post any more than 48
hours ago.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

Gerry,

Below you can find messages from Event viewer for system (7.6.09) and
application (6.6.09 and 7.6.09). For system I did not copy any message from
6.6.09, because it seems okay to me. There are no any special warnings, just
normal information.

I tried to research the two more interesting Application popup reports
but was unable to find out what they mean. Do you have an AMD Processor?
What make and model is your motherboard?
