Problem with signing into SIP Service on Live Communication Server

I'm in the process of testing out the Live Communication Server. We
have about 40 users up and running successfully, but one of the users
is not able to connect. They get the generic message "Signing in to
SIP Communication Service failed because the service is temporarily
unavailable. Please try again later".

I've verified:

- the Windows Messenger v5.0 client is configured correctly

- that the user's AD record does indeed have SIP with the right
e-mail address

- our e-mail domain is listed as a valid domain for Live
Communication Server

- the user has connectivity to the LCS server (both ping and telnet)

How do we go about diagnosing this problem? The LCS server doesn't
provide any errors or events for us to go on.

Thanks, Daniel

Are you specifying "Automatic Configuration" in the Widnows Messenger 5.0 client or are you selecting "Configure settings" and specifying the FQDN of the Live Communications Server? Do you have TLS enabled or are you using TCP?

Are you using the Automatic configuration from within the Widnows 5.0 Messenger client or are you specifying the LCS FQDN? Are you using TLS?

We are specifying the server name (fqdn) and connect using (TCP) by
hand.

However, the problem appears to be with the user's PC and not their
credentials. If they use a different PC to connect with the same
credentials it works fine. We think there is something wrong with
their Windows XP image but aren't sure what.

Thanks, Daniel
