Problem with signature when replying or forwarding with Outlook 2000

Hi all,

I've seen this one crop up a few times with no solution. MS describe
it for Outlook 2002 and say it's fixed in SP3, but as I'm running
Outlook 2000 this doesn't help.

Whenever I reply to or forward a HTML format message that comes from
external to the company any images in my signature are replaced by
placeholders.
If I send a new message, or reply to a message from internal to the
company the signature is displayed correctly.

The placeholder is pointing to: something along the lines of
"outbind://124/adapsLogo.gif" instead of to the image location.

Does anyone have a solution to this one?

Cheers,

Mat

If you reply in plain text, html formatted signatures don't work. Outlook is
set to reply to messages in the same format as received email. You should
format some plain text signatures for your plain text mail (or do not add
signatures to replies.) Then use Insert> signature to choose which one to
use. You can also use "always use my fonts" to change to HTML, but many
companies will read all email in plain text anyway.
