problem with shell and resolution changes

We're experiencing issues on our image when we use the replacement shell
written by someone I do not wish to annoy. It doesn't seem to deal well
with resolution changes, as using explorer or, for that matter,
litestep, we can run our application (which occasionally changes the
resolution) with no problems, however, if we are using this custom shell
and the resolution changes, we get all manner of problems with the
touchscreen.
Is there something obvious that has not been done in this shell, or a
book or tutorial that would give some indication of what is missing? I'm
not a coder (at least not on anything more complex than ASP or PIC) so I
don't go near this sort of thing as a rule.

What graphics driver are you using ? previously I had faced the same
kind of issue which was coz of the driver not matching..now i dont the
reason why .

ATI catalyst. As I said it works fine under LiteStep and Explorer shell,
but under the shell my colleague produced it doesn't. I believe the
shell is just there to make sure that the things that should have focus
do. This is why I was wondering if there would be a howto somewhere that
might indicate what it is he needs to add...
