PROBLEM WITH SERVICE PACK 2 (ANOTHER ONE!)

JackieD

I (stupidly!) downloaded Service Pack 2 today after finishing a site
for a non-profit org. A dhtml scroller and rollover links using
Dreamweaver 3 were tested in Netscape and Explorer & worked fine.
Then I made the mistake of downloading and installing SP2....after
that it was goodbye to rollovers & dhtml scroller & hello to annoying
messages (with sound) saying my computer is being protected from
active content..ie nasty dhtml scripts and rollovers!

Surely whoever thought up this latest update is getting paid waaaay
too much! Microsoft should be paying us to be their testing bunnies.

Someone else pointed out there is a disclaimer before downloading...it
does contain warnings...but I (naively) assumed that Microsoft would
do the right thing by their customers and make sure it worked properly
before forcing it on us + I only downloaded it to get rid of the
annoying pop up reminding me that I had a major update to install!

A new Mac is starting to look extremely attractive cause I am heartily
sick of Microsoft...

PS: If anyone knows how to stop the warning messages and allow
dhtml/java I'd be REALLY grateful! Please email jackie-memberships at
idx dot com
