Completely Remove Service Pack 2 Information Bar

Does anybody here know of a way to *get rid of the irritatin
information bar* (MS Windows XP Service Pack 2) that displays o
practically every new IE page I open? I have enabled all of my Active
controls, killed the Popup mechanism, and lowered my security to a
absolute minimum - -but still no luck-.

Most of the time I can simply "allow the content" while browsing th
internet by adding specific sites to a safe list; however, I'm a we
designer and a lot of my work is done offline. IE doesn't seem t
offer the option to add local folders to a safe list. Instead i
displays the useless information bar during the browsing of my ow
system. It's pretty difficult to test my rollovers, iframes, an
popups when my browser constantly disables them on each page refresh.

If anyone has some light to shed on this topic it would be muc
appreciated

Open internet properties, click on advanced tab. scroll down to Security and
check the boxes named "allow active content from CD's to run on my computer"
and "allow active content to run in files on my computer".
Then go to security tab and click custom level. Under "activex controls and
plug-ins", find "automatic prompting for Activex controls" Set it to enable.
Under downloads check enable in the "automatic prompting for download".
click ok. reboot
