Hello all

A problem have all of a sudden (literary) occured on my
XP PC. I run XP Pro on a good new PC, with all the latest
SPs and patches.

I can not access anything on the web which needs
authentication. Outlook can not connect to my POP server
(it says connection was refused). I can not use Windows
Update. There is a problem scannig. I can not go to any
web site which use secure connection and so on. I have
checked for viruses and nothing. I have tried system
restore, reinstalling SP1a nothings helps. I even tried
to install IIS. I thought that might reinstall any
security modules or files, but that hangs half way in.

I am at a loss. Does anyone have any idea? Otherwise I
have to reinstall everything.

Regards

Nima

Hi Doug

Yes, I do. But nothing has changed. Besides, I have
another PC and a laptop behind it with no problem.
Whatever it is, it is my PC and it happened over night
(well over the weekend).

any ideas would be great.

Regards

Nima
