Problem with scanning

On 6-4-03 someone posted this:
I have a Xerox Workcentre XK50cx multifunction machine. It prints
fine, but
I want to be able to use the scanner. I downloaded and installed the
latest
printer driver and TWAIN driver, but every time I try to scan using
the
button on the machine, it says (on the machine's LCD) "Failed to
connect".
I don't think Windows XP is recognizing it either. I know I have it
physically connected through the USB port (otherwise it wouldn't
print,
right?). Any troubleshooting tips would be much appreciated.

I've got the same problem, and it used to work but since I wiped out
my hd and had to reinstall the drivers I can't remember what settings
I had to change to get it to work. Does anyone know the solution?

Thanks,

Go into an application that has printing, like WORD.
File
Print
Look in the drop-down menu for your printing device.
And eliminate that angle, at least.
