Problem with Real Player

Everytime I click on an audio link in AOL, Real Player starts up and plays
the file. Problem here is I don't have real player setup to play anything. In
internet explorer, mp3 links plays in WMP, mp3s on my actual hard drive play
in WMP, so what is goin on? WMP is my default media player, all extensions
are checked in WMP and unchecked in real player. I dont know when this
started but I have never installed a new version of RP and its really
becoming a bitch. I talked to aol people n they told me to come here and ask.

It depends on what type of audio file it is. It's probably not even an audio
file, but rather a playlist, such as an .asx file.

This actually happened with an mp3. And like I said, I click the link for
the mp3, the whole address ends in .mp3, click in AOL = real player pops up,
click in Internet explorer = windows media player pops up. Why is there even
real player? WMP is alot better in every way, it shood just be made
compatible with .ra and whatever.

particular downloaded files? Firefox has this. IE uses the standard
Windows settings.

Real Networks is an independent company. They don't want WMP to handle
..ra etc
