Problem with profiles in Outlook 2007

I have a PC with Windows 7. I am tearing my hair out. I created a
profile(default) for my ISP account, which is a POP3 account. I downloaded my
email, and everything was OK. Then I created a second profile, named GMAIL,
which is an IMAP account, and proceeded to download all my online GMAIL. I
then went back into the control panel, and into Mail, and set it to prompt me
for a profile. It only did that once. Now I can't get back my pop account no
matter what I set it at. The only thing it will open is the GMAIL profile.
This computer is fresh out of the box today, and with it a fresh installation
of Outlook. Can someone enlighten me as to why this is going on? Thanks in
advance.

That means Outlook hasn't exited completely. You need to figure out what is
keeping Outlook open. You'll find several posts here to help you if you
don't know how to investigate this.
