Problem with MIE

O

Ohan Armoudian

Using WinXp Sp2
MIE version is: 6.0.2900.2180-SP2
Yesterday the browser was working fast and very good, click and it opens and
no delays.
Today I received a download from Microsoft a Search Bar (I do not remember).
Downloaded and installed but the MIE now is too slow
Un installed the new Search Bar program from Ad & Remove and still too slow
to open
I cleaned all the cookies, files, history from MIE, Defrag the hard drive,
ran the Spyware Doctor, ran the Norton Anti Virus all clean, but still when
I click the MIE takes forever to open.
Any Ideas?????

Again, thanks for the reply in advance.

I suggest you supply details of what "search bar" you installed as
Microsoft does not send search bars to all and sundry.
You must know the name if you uninstalled it.

Let me explain more clearly...

Our MIE home page was Yahoo and we made it to Microsoft-MSN and there was a
link on the page someplace for download "MSN Search Toolbar with Windows
Desktop Search" and by mistake we clicked and downloaded and installed, then
we realized the MIE was too slow to open and that was the last thing we
installed, and now we have un installed "MSN Search Toolbar with Windows
Desktop Search" and we have the home page back to Yahoo.
I hope this will help solving our problem.
Thanks again for the reply

Thanks for the reply, but I did not get an answer of the problem I am
having, I clicked the link you provided but no help.
What is the problem with "MSN Search Toolbar"?? Is it that bad??
I un installed it completely, but do you think I need to do some other
stuff....
Thanks again for the reply.

Sorry, but as I said, I have not used it and wouldn't use it, so I can
make no more comment.
