Problem with Micosoft Word

My cursor disappeared in Microsoft word, in it's place is a "Paragraph indent character"
When I type, a dot is placed between each new word. I don't know if I changed something accidentally or downloaded these problems. I checked and have no virus or spybo
Any suggestion would be appreciate

You have set the display to show "hidden" characters. Look
at Tools/Options.

It wasn't any trouble.

When ever you get a problem with a MS application, looking
at the View and Help menus is always the first thing. Using
Help is next, and then post a question in a newsgropup.
