Problem with logins using Javascript

Hello:

Recently, whenever I need to click on a link using
JavaScript (when I move my mouse over the link, at the
bottom of the browser it says "JavaScript") I have been
having problems. Usually, the link is to some type of
login. The page does not load.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try reinstalling Java with the most recent version:

http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp

I dowloaded the most recent version and am still having
problems.

Did you install IE patch 871260 or 867801? If so try
removing these patches

Where do I look for those patches? I am looking on
the "Add/Remove Programs" menu and don't see it. I
downloaded numerous hotfixes. I do not know if any of
those contains those patches.
