javascript, page errors

When I visit a web page and move my mouse over a link, the status bar shows
"javascript". When I click on the link, the status bar shows "page error".
The link will not open.
If I refresh, and right click on the link and choose open link or open link
in new window, I receive a page can not be displayed.
I didn't have this problem until I installed the XP SP2.
I'd really appreciate if someone knows a fix.

Hi,

Close all browser windows and then click Start, Run and type:

regsvr32 jscript
regsvr32 /i mshtml
iexplore /rereg
(This command is a tip from Robert Aldwinckle)

If that does not help:
See if refreshing the script engine helps:

Ramesh: I have the same problem, when I run iexplore /i mshtml I got a "The
page cannot be displayed" "Cannot find server or DNS Error" the same happen
when I start IE for the first time.
