Problem with image links not updating when adding new pages in FrontPage 2003

I've build a web site for a friend's business with about 70-80 pages.
The creation went fine using the Corporate Web site template and
uploaded fine from his computer to his provider. Since he is about an
hour away, the idea is I can maintain his web site remotely from my
computer. I downloaded the web site and have been able to update
regularly files for the past month. Now October is here and I need to
create some new files for the site. But now I find if I add pages to
the site in FrontPage, the gif image links do not update. I've poked
around about 2-3 hours tonight trying different things, but have not
been able to resolve the problem. I've examined the basic corporate
web site set up and the gifs link to some unidentified webbot. Those
gifs are also have Link Bar properties as editable which I do not show
in my downloaded web site. What do I need to add back in to the
downloaded web site so that when I add new pages the gif navigation
images are updated?

Thanks,

Bill

Did you use FP to open and then publish the site down to your PC?

Was the site designed in the same version of FP as you are currently using?

The answer to both questions is yes. FrontPage 2003 was installed on
both PCs the same day and patched to the latest version the same day.
His version was an upgrade from FrontPage 2002. I published the site
originally from his PC. I realized I had forgotten to copy the latest
version of the web site to my microdrive, so I used the publish
feature to retrieve the posted web site to my PC. The only difference
is he is running XP service pack 2 on his PC and I am running XP
service pack 1.

You might want to try publishing directly from the live/remote site to your PC, instead of to the
microdrive, if the live/remote site has the FP extensions.
