Adding text over a graphic image

I am trying to add text over a graphic image with the text toolbar --but
everytime i try it seems to distort and move the image a liitle . What am i
doing wrong? Here is my code

Or....

you could just "insert" - "Layer".... move it into position, and put
your text in there.

Bad choice, though, since the alignment will be affected by the text size in
the absolutely positioned container.

this for any of my document/page stuff, it uses beta and it's a way for
people to work on the same document instead of asking this question and
getting replies to try people can take the document/page and work on it or
