I bought this scanner last year ; it used to work well. Last month, the
power module gave up... I couldn't get it replaced under the benefits of
warranty, because I had opened the module ! So, I started to use the
scanner with a 12 v battery. It did work well for awhile (let us say,
about 10 times, that is, about one month), but then, suddenly, it quit
working : the light goes on, the chariot moves well, but the scans are
all black.
Could someone give me a hint about what to do next ? I've already tried
re-installing the software, I also tried installing it on another PC, with
USB connexion (it was on a parallel connexion on my PC), but results are
the same: black scans ! I have, of course, tried another battery... to no
avail...
