In a previous post it was suggested that I uninstall
Adobe Type Manager (as shown in a KB article) to fix my
problem. That partially succeeded and now the computer
will go into hibernation. The bad news is it won't come
out cleanly. I get an error message saying there's a
problem with my SiS graphics card driver. So I
uninstalled and reinstalled the most up-to-date driver.
I've wasted the better part of the afternoon trying
various things to clean up the driver to no avail. The
error message says the driver is in an endless loop. Any
other ideas (besides buying a new graphics card)? As
best I can remember, the computer used to be able to
enter and come out of hibernation with this graphics card
installed. The graphics card uses a SiS305 chip.
Thanks.
