problem with fax service after update

I've installed Windows XP. after some days the fax didn't work and the
computer frizzed. I can't install fax again.
I've install Windows again and after installing updates the
problem occur again. I'm afraid that one of the new update cause this
problem.

I've removed all the updates (security and hotfix) and it's resolve the
problem.
