Problem with EWF RAM MODE in Compact flash.

Hi,

I am new to xp embedded. My problem is that on Compact flash EWF RAM
Mode is not working.

It gives me message that EWF volume is not found.
I have unallocated space of 8 mb on compact flash.But having done that
EWF RAM MODE is not working.
Please tell me what should I should do to avoid that error.

Hi Ashutosh,
please look in your installed XPE system , in Windows\FBA and find the file
FBALOG.TXT. Just near the end you should find info about the EWF init.
The error message you are reporting is descripted in the SP2FP 2007 help,
where you 'll find advices.
Otherwise copy the fbalog related to EWF for us.

For EWF RAM *Reg* mode you don't need to have an unallocated space on the disk. EWF will not create the EWF Config partition in Reg
mode.

What XPe tool kit service pack you are using? In FP2007 setting up EWF RAM Reg mode is very clear and easy process that doesn't
require messing with registry to set up the protected volumes.

Check out \windows\FBALog.txt to see if there is any error posted why EWF failed to configure on your image.
