Problem with drivers regarding plug and play devices in vista

My 7 day old computer with windows vista installed, is having problems
installing drivers for my plug and play devices when i plug then in. The
weird thing though, is that my logitech gaming mouse works perfectly, untill
windows asks me if i want to install a driver, and how i wont to do it. When
selecting, "do not install the driver, and dont ask me again" the mouse stops
working.

Im having a problem with an USB storage device as well, the problem is that
windows cannot recognize the device, and im therefore now able to use it. So
i went online to find a driver, but the paradox is, that you cannot find a
driver because it shouldn't be nessecary because the device does not require
a driver if you have windows vista.

Try "remind me later". That worked for me sometimes

Another thing that works on my PC is: When you plug in something into
your USB port and Vista asks you the 10000st time what that might be,
click the option to locate the drivers manually. Then browse to "C:
\Windows\System32" as the folder it should search for it. I know ...
sounds absurd... it should do this anyway by default. But I'm just a
stupid user, what do I know ... I bet there is a really really good
reason for Vista being too stupid to do this. Or Dell ****ed up. ...
No, it's Vista. Fact is, on my computer it will find there driver
there usually .... if I tell it.
