I keep getting a blue screen stating that the computer had detected a problem
and is shutting down to prevent damage to the computer. Further down the
page under "Technical", I get the following:

***STOP: 0x0000008E (0x000001D, 0xBF803880, 0xF2CCEC1C, 0x00000000)

***win32k.sys - Address BF803880 base at BF800000, DateStamp 43446a58

Then I get the line about the physical memory is being dumped.

I don't understand what is going on or how to fix whatever the problem is.
Is there anyone who can help? Please keep in mind that I'm not very computer
literate, so if you have a solution to my problem that I can fix, I will need
complete step-by-step directions.

Thank you to anyone who can help me with this.

As the advice given to Gruvens post earlier, Google search "Blue screen boot
up" and you will see loads of help printed there.
