Problem With Auto Updates

Guest

I have Automatic Updates turned on. Sonic Activation Module is constantly
trying to update, then it tells me I need a CD. I have no idea what the
Sonic Activation Module even is, nor do I have a CD. Is there any way I can
get the Sonic Activation Module to stop trying to update automatically,
without having to turn of Automatic Updates?

Sonic is a CD/DVD burning program that most likely was installed when you
purchased the system.
You need to find the program( maybe under Start/programs??) and open it then
look for settings to turn off automatic updates...or activate the program
and it will stop trying to activate on its own.Its not part of the XP
Automatic Updates...its not even part of XP.

This isn't related to Windows Update.

Sonic is a CD/DVD burner and packet writer, that is not updated via Windows
Update, so your settings there have no effect on Sonic's behaviour.

Find Sonic in the All Programs list, and check the settings there.
