Problem with activating windows....need help

Hello friends,,,
I downloaded the windows product key changer from
microsoft.com, Now I have a problem with changing my product key using this
tool. I have a ORIGIONAL sticker of windows xp professional key.

I got a messege "Invalid key" WHY???

Is any other method to change windows key?????

Change Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents ,
OOBETimer,(Change one digit)

start/run : "%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a"
Click Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative, Next.
Click Change Product key. Type new key, click Update. click Remind me later,

restart, and activate.
