Problem with a "Private Folder"

I installed a new hard drive and OS (Window XP Home). I cannot access a
folder that I made private on the old drive, even though the account name
and password are the same. Is there any hope of recovering the data in this
folder?
 
Read in "Help" about "take ownership".

Inside the computer, a special number is associated with ID and password
to associated with each account. These are different on different
computers even with same ID and password. This is why XP thinks your ID
is different and therefore won't give you access.

Start in SAFE MODE and go on as the admistrator then
rigth click folder..properties then share..
