problem with 823559: Security Update for Microsoft Windows

My computer repeatedly installs this critical update. The
update history shows many succesfull installations. Can
someone point me to a place which will instruct me on how
to either ensure that the update is correctly installed or
prevent further installations if it is in fact correctly
installed already?

Prevent Windows Update from prompting you to install a Hotfix
you know is already installed.
